Flutist Tessa Brinckman and percussionist Terry Longshore's new duo Caballito Negro presents its inaugural program “Beginnings” at 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 1200 SW Alder, downtown Portland. The duo presents contemporary works from the classical western tradition and also works from ethnic Europe, Asia and Africa.

Mr. Longshore will play a variety of percussion instruments, including marimba, wood blocks, vibraphone and bongos. Ms. Brinckman will play both the regular flute and the alto flute. The program promises to offer cross-cultural surprises from today’s most exciting composers. $10/$8 at the door. More information is on the Flier.
