GPFS News Upcoming GPFS Events

The Greater Portland Flute Society is pleased to donate $200 to the South Albany High School Music Department. As you may know, an arson fire on April 1 raged through part of the school and destroyed the band and choir rooms, among others. The school lost instruments, band uniforms, music stands, sheet music, choir robes and more. GPFS set out two donation jars at this year’s Flute Fair and several patrons contributed. At the end of the event the GPFS board decided to augment that generosity and added money from its general fund to bring the total to $200. All donations are being handled by the Albany Public Schools Foundation. For more information or to contribute go to their website or contact Aimee Addison at her e-mail.
