2019-2020 Study Grants:
The Greater Portland Flute Society Study Grant is a $300 scholarship for high school or middle school students to apply toward private flute lessons with a GPFS member teacher. Selection is based on financial need, teacher recommendation, and an essay expressing enthusiasm and serious application for the flute. Students may receive the grant a maximum of three times. More information is available on the Study Grant Page. 


We've started planning for the 2020 Flute Fair already. Check out our Flute Fair page for the date and guest artist.

What: 3rd annual Salem Flute Academy, featuring a body mapping session with specialist Catherine Lee, flute ensemble with Abigail Sperling, and a masterclass with principal Flute of the Oregon Symphony Martha Long and collaborative pianist Debra Huddleston.
When: Saturday February 15, 2020, 8:00AM - 6:00PM
Where: Chemeketa Community College, Building 6, foyer and auditorium
Cost: $25 masterclass performers/$15 for participants
