The GPFS Librarian maintains a Music Library with FREE items available for loan to GPFS Members in good standing.   

How to Borrow From the GPFS Lending Library

Rules of Use

1. Up to three (3) selections may be borrowed at one time, for a period of up to thirty (30) days. The due date will be stated clearly to borrower at the time of check-out. It is the borrower’s responsibility to take note of the due date and either return the borrowed items on or before that date, or contact the Librarian with a request for an extension of the check-out period.
   
   
2. The due date may be extended up to 2 (two) times, unless the items have been reserved by another member. Extensions may be obtained with the approval of the Librarian via e-mail or phone. The total check-out period shall not exceed ninety (90) days.
   
   
3. Items returned after the due date will incur a late fee of $1.00 per item per day, unless an extension has been granted prior to the due date. The late fee shall not exceed the replacement cost of the items.
   
   
4. Music is to be returned in the same condition. Any markings to the music are to be made in pencil only, and shall be thoroughly erased prior to returning.
   
   
5. If music is damaged by borrower, borrower is responsible for the replacement cost of the music damaged. Greater Portland Flute Society reserves the right to suspend membership until items borrowed are returned or replacement cost is paid.
