Please join GPFS as we host our fourth annual flute ensemble and social event – a fun-filled opportunity to meet and play music with other flutists, try flutes and more. 

A few event sponsors/exhibitors - will be attending this event. They will have flutes to try and purchase as well as evaluating and doing minor repairs on-site.

• All ages and levels are welcome! We will have two groups, each led by an experienced teacher.  Select the group where you feel most comfortable. If you have any questions message Robert Wakeley through this email: bigflutes@gpfs.org

Group A: Advanced-beginner through Intermediate

• A set of accessible, short pieces using simple meters and rhythms (8ths and some 16ths), more central range on the flute - first, second, and lower third octave.

Group B: Intermediate through Advanced.

• Meet Others: We hope this an opportunity to meet others you may be interested in getting together to play with after the event! 
• Flute teachers: What a great event to enjoy with your students!
• Cost: Registration is FREE for GPFS members and other invitees.
• Bring: Your music stand if possible.

1:00: a brief body and mind warm-up session with Donna Maebori

1:15: a flute warmup with Alexis Evers

1:30: break, split into two groups - Group A and Group B

1:35: ensemble playing

3:05 - 3:55: refreshments, and more time to browse and try flutes
