Flute Ensemble Event

Flute Trial Appointments*

A limited number of individual 45-minute flute trial appointments will be offered starting at 1:15pm in Room 7. Flute trials are for flutists who are ready or near ready to purchase a new instrument. In a trial, you will have the opportunity to play up to 8 instruments in your price range. We will go over all the best features of each flute, including pad type, metal alloys, upgrades, and headjoint styles. You can purchase same day or take your 3 favorites home to trial for another 7 days. We encourage private teachers to participate in trials with their students as well! We will be able to take bookings starting October 1st 

Please join GPFS as we host our second flute ensemble event – a fun-filled opportunity to meet and play music with other flutists. FluteWorks Seattle is a sponsor of this event and will be bringing flutes to try and accessories to browse/buy.

REGISTER HERE: Flute Trial Appointments

  • All ages and levels are welcome! We will have two groups, each led by an experienced teacher. You can view the repertoire at the registration site so you can select the group where you feel most comfortable. 
Group A: Advanced-beginner through Intermediate

Group B: Intermediate through Advanced.

  • Meet Others: Our speed duetting process will ensure that you’ll play with a variety of partners and play more than one part as you wish.
  • Flute teachers: What a great event to enjoy with your students!
  • Cost: Registration is FREE for GPFS members and other invitees.

  • Program: 

9:30 am: Registration

9:45 am: Introductions; Warm up using Feldenkrais Method

10:10 am: Break; Separate into Group A (advanced beginner through intermediate)  and Group B (intermediate through advanced)

10:20 am – 11:45 am: Group Play

11:45 am - 12:45 pm: Light Reception/FluteWorks Seattle exhibit

1:15 pm - 4:45pm: Flute Trial Appointments with FluteWorks Seattle*
