Welcome to the donation page for the Greater Portland Flute Society (GPFS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the art and enjoyment of flute music.
Our mission is to inspire, educate, and connect flute enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. However, membership dues cover only one-third of our annual operating expenses. Your generous support helps us sustain and grow our programs.
Our Giving Categories
We are excited to share the evolution of our giving structure to better serve our mission and community. GPFS now offers two distinct funds for your contribution:
1. General Use
This fund continues to support a wide range of GPFS programming, including:
- Guest artist concerts
- Community play-together events
- Our flagship annual event, Flute Fair
2. Youth Programs & Outreach
A new initiative that furthers GPFS’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of flutists. This fund supports programs such as:
- Student study grants
- Young Artist Competition
- Masterclasses - including the Sara Lasky Memorial Master Class at Flute Fair
- Youth GPFS memberships
- Guest artist stipends for the Mid-Valley Flute Academy
- New performance opportunities for youth members
You may designate your donation to either fund—or allow GPFS to direct your contribution where it’s most needed.
