What Information GPFS Collects (*indicates optional)

• First and last name
• Phone number
• Email address(es)
• Mailing address*
• Username and password
• Demographic data* (race/ethnicity, gender, Veteran information is optional and used in aggregate for grant and other funding opportunities only; no individual date is ever released or otherwise used)
• Interest in receiving information from GPFS*
• Interest in volunteering with GPFS*
• Payment information for membership dues payment and any other event ticket purchases or donations made.
• Membership renewal information such as membership level, status, dates of renewal
• History of ticket purchasing for event
• History of our communications with members and contact list

GPFS never shares personal information with an outside party. Information collected by GPFS is only used for GPFS business purposes only. This information is kept as long as the individual has an account with GPFS.

How We Use Your Information

The Greater Portland Flute Society collects a minimum of information for the purposes of:

• maintaining membership accounts
• sharing news and information about member benefits and upcoming events via event focused emails, monthly ENews, or our quarterly publication
• announcing the opening of event registrations
• announcing the opening of grant applications
• distributing the four times yearly issue of The Portland Piper, a member benefit
• aggregating demographics for grant and other funding applications
• making purchasing options available 
• tracking donations to GPFS
• managing and tracking flute rentals

Who Can See Your Information

A very limited number of individuals associated with GPFS have permission to see your information. These permissions are managed by our wedsite administrator and are limited to current board positions and select committee appointees. Your membership or donation payment data is never fully known to us, just how it was paid and the last four digits of the payment method.

How Else Your Information Is Protected

GPFS's web-based information and payment system for membership dues, event registration, purchases and donations is run by Wild Apricot.
