Focused on middle and high school youth of all levels, but all are welcome. FREE to attend! Registration preferred!

The Program

Bring your flute! No need to bring a music stand.

We'll have snack bars there and a few bottles of water, but it is best if you bring your own bottle of water.

Location: Chemeketa Community College, Auditorium, Building 6, on the "East Campus Loop" just off of "Fire Protection Way." Use the purple or brown parking lots.

• Please try to arrive 15 - 20 minutes early to be ready for the first session.
• 9:30: Doors open for set-up, socializing and visiting with flute repair technician(s) and opportunity to try a few step-up flutes. Canter Flute Repairand Windsmith Music will be there to help!
• 10:00 - 10:50: Warm-Up as a Flute Choir with Elaine Martir, University of Oregon
• Snacks and water will be available throughout the event
• 11:00 - 12:50: Masterclass with Alicia DiDonato Paulsen
• 1:00 - 1:30: Alicia will play a couple of pieces and answer questions about her life in music, fluting, and playing professionally and with the Oregon Symphony. Program: Alicia will be performing a 15 minute Suite for solo flute by Francaix, Odelette by Saint Saens, Matin du Printemps by Boulanger, and a French baroque piece.
• 1:30 - 2:00: Last chance to connect with the technicians and try step-up flutes!
