WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

"The Pasture of the Sacred Cows: Rethinking the Fundamentals of Flute Playing"

In this participatory workshop, we will examine misconceptions that persist among flutists regarding essential building blocks of flute playing. Topics to be covered include breathing, support, tone, vibrato, technique, and practicing. Be ready to revitalize your playing and send a few sacred cows out to pasture!

Suitable for flutists and other instrumentalists! Come for the one hour workshop from 1:00 - 2:00 and stay on if you wish to listen to the masterclass from 2:00 - 4:00. 3 - 4 flutists will be performing in the masterclass.

IF YOU WISH, BRING YOUR FLUTE WITH YOU FOR THE WORKSHOP PART OF THE EVENT in case Tim Hagen has anything he would invite you to try during the workshop.
