Flute Ensemble Event
All Levels and Ages Welcome
Join GPFS as we host our third annual flute ensemble event – a fun-filled opportunity to meet and play music with other flutists and try flutes.
FREE to attend!
This event is open to GPFS members and invited guests.
Day/Time: Sunday, November 8, 2026, 12:30 - 4:00
Location: Multnomah Arts Center; 7688 SW Capitol Hwy; Portland, OR 97219
Parking: On site - Multnomah Arts Center Map.pdf, and street parking.
Tentative Program:
12:30: event opens, sign-in, visit the exhibitors, try flutes, socialize
12:55: welcome and introductions
1:00: a brief body and mind warm-up session with Donna Maebori
1:15: a flute warmup with Alexis Evers
1:30: break, split into two groups - Group A and Group B
1:35: ensemble playing - play your own flute or feel free to play one or more of the demonstration flutes that will be provided by TBA
3:05 - 3:55: refreshments, socialize, more time to browse and try flutes
Select event sponsors TBA will be attending this event. They will have flutes to try and purchase as well as evaluating and doing minor repairs on-site.
REGISTRATION FOR EVENT: Please register to attend by clicking on one of the options to the left. You will be asked to register for one of the following groups. Playing levels for the group will be similar to prior years. You can also change group that day, and so on. Easy going!
Copies of the music we own will be available on the day of the event. There will be ample opportunity for you to play more than one part.

What to Bring: (1) In addition to your flute, we ask that you bring a music stand if possible.
Group B participants can also try one of the GPFS low flutes!
